HINDU businesses operating in the South Pacific region will meet in Nadi early next year for the World Hindu Economic Forum (WHEF).
A statement from organisers said the Hindu business community had contributed significantly to trade, commerce and industry in South Pacific countries, especially in New Zealand, Australia and Fiji.
The WHEF Pacific regional forum will be held at Sheraton Fiji Resort in Denarau on February 16, 2013, under the theme Making the South Pacific Community Prosperous.
Key people presenting papers at this forum include Prof Gautam Sen from the UK, Swami Vigyananand from India, vice-chancellor of the Fiji National University Dr Ganesh Chand and economist Prof Biman Prasad. Swami Vigyananand, the founder of WHEF, said in a statement that the forum promoted activities to make society prosperous.
