Heavy rain

Update: 10:58AM Heavy rain continues in the Capital City.

Residents of the Capital City have been forced to bring out their umbrellas and raincoats as rain continues in Suva.

According to the weather office in Nadi, heavy rain warning remains in force for Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands and northern Lau Group.

It said Tropical Depression 04F was located about 250km north-northeast of Labasa at 9am today.

It is slowly moving east and is expected to develop further. Associated cloud and rain affect northern parts of Fiji.

Periods of heavy rain and squally thunderstorms over Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands and northern Lau.

Heavy rain may lead to flashflooding in these areas. The next specal weather bulletin on heavy rain will be issued at or around 1pm.
