Woman killed on wharf

Update: 9:30AM A WOMAN was killed at the Lautoka Fisheries Wharf last night and the police have taken her partner in for questioning.

Police spokesman Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed to The Fiji Times that a Fijian woman of Indian descent was found dead at the wharf at approximately 8pm last night.

"Her partner is at the Lautoka Police Station. He has been taken in for questioning in relation to the incident. No further details are available and we will know more once the police forensics team has gone through the crime scene," he said.

Police had sealed off the scene and the forensics team was on site when The Fiji Times news team arrived at 11pm last night.
