Biggest Christmas tree goes up

THE biggest Christmas tree in Fiji was erected again at the Sukuna Park in Suva at the weekend.

Digicel Fiji is looking to officially light the Christmas tree on Wednesday evening where it will involve the public.

Digicel public relations manager Zaheer Hassan said members of the public were encouraged to come to Sukuna Park and join in the celebrations.

"The tree-lighting ceremony will be a public event. There will be guest appearances from the National Youth Band, Colgate's Doctor Rabbit, Unwired's 4G Man, members of the Digicel Fiji 7s team, and Digicel brand ambassadors," Mr Hassan said.

He said they would bring children from various orphanages in Suva for the celebration.
