THE organisers of the 16 Days of Activism Women's Volleyball Tournament are impressed with the response shown towards the event.

The tournament is organised by the Fiji Women's Crisis Centre in association with the Suva Volleyball Association and will be held today at the LICI Multi-Purpose Courts in Laucala Bay, Suva.

Tournament organiser Semaima Lagilagi said a total of 21 teams had been confirmed for the event.

She said they received more entries than expected and had to limit the number of teams because of time and venue constraints.

"The response we got towards this tournament is overwhelming," Lagilagi said.

"It was so positive that we received more entries than expected and due to constraints we had to limit the number of teams," she said.

"But for next year, we intend to accommodate more teams and so next year's event will surely be bigger and better."
