DIGICEL Fiji has announced the appointment of Farid Mohammed as the new chief financial officer.

Originally from Lautoka, Mr Mohammed is one of the pioneers of the Digicel Pacific team and began his career with Digicel in 2006.

Mr Mohammed had served the Papua New Guinea and Fiji markets as the project finance manager.

He subsequently moved to Digicel Fiji as the business analyst when Digicel was officially launched in October 2008. Because of his outstanding performance and leadership qualities, he was appointed as the CFO of Digicel Tonga and later served as CFO of Digicel Samoa before returning to Fiji to take up his present role. Digicel communications manager Zaheer Hassan said Mr Mohammed brought a wealth of experience to Digicel.
