THE western volleyball associations will hold a meeting in Nadi tomorrow to discuss the organising of the Western Rally Championship in January.

The Fiji Volleyball Federation has set out January 25-26 as the dates for the tournament.

Nadi Volleyball Association vice president Dan Vakadranu said the affiliates would get together to discuss issues relating to the tournament.

He said the dates set by the parent body would be looked at.

Vakadranu said they wanted to give the affiliates ample time to prepare for the WRC.

"We hope to finalise the tournament format, the dates and rules," Vakadranu said.

"The venue will be discussed. We want the tournament to be run smoothly. All the associations will be given time to prepare for the two-day event."

The affiliates which will attend the meeting include Lautoka, Waiyavi, Topline, Nadi, Cuvu and Nadroga.

Topline, with former national reps Viliame Tukana, Jim Ravai and Niko Ratu will defend the WRC men's title.

Former national reps Sala Nakarawa and Caroline Smith will guide the Topline women's team.
