IT will be confirmed today whether or not Suva will feature in the Vulaca Championships next month.
Late yesterday, the hosts of the annual tournament, Raiwai Volleyball Association, met with officials from the Fiji Volleyball Association to determine the rules set for the competition.
Initially, Raiwai stated that each association in the tournament could field only two teams in the men's and women's divisions.
Suva rejected the idea as they wanted to field four men's team and two women's teams and threatened to pull out of the Vulaca Championship if this wasn't agreed to
RVA interim vice president Usaia Kalivakatoga and SVA president Sakiusa Taubale said they would only comment after they learnt the details and results of last night's meeting.
Taubale mentioned that if their request was not approved, they would run a separate tournament with better prizes compared to the Vulaca and invite other teams to participate in it.
He said they had booked the FMF National Gymnasium but will wait for RVA's final decision.
