AUSTRALIAN model Rochelle Fox says she was overwhelmed and could not resist the invitation to be part of today's Style Fiji 2012 fashion show — a charity event that will use the funds raised to upgrade the Nadi Hospital.
Organised by Project Bula Mai, the two-day show starts this evening at Sheraton Fiji Resort in Denarau.
The 22-year-old radio announcer said she was looking forward to meeting other top local models during the show.
"It's amazing to be here for this show and being a tourist and coming to Fiji and experiencing your culture, the people are so warm, amazing," said Ms Fox.
"I feel so welcomed here, Fiji is about the people.
"I want to see where they get that spark from, especially with the smiles, that's why I wanted to go to the villages."
Ms Fox commended the organisers saying she was glad to promote Fiji for a worthy cause.
Meanwhile, Waikato Super 15 Fijian flyer Maritino Nemani said he was glad to be home to give back to the community.
"The show needs all the support it can get and if all goes according to plan, Nadi Hospital will be one of the best," he said.
The show starts at 6pm.
