GOLF

Champion versus Champion

THE inaugural National Golf Association of Fiji's Champion versus Champion 54-hole tournament will be from December 1-2. The first 18 holes will be held in Natadola and the final 36 to be played at the Nadi Airport Golf Club. $100 entry fee includes lunch on both days. Those wanting to play 18 holes at NAGC, the entry fee is $20 and includes lunch. Contact: Amitesh Chandra on 9923191.

Ladies

THE Fiji Golf Club Ladies are holding their closing day competition on Tuesday, December 4. It is a 4BBB Individual Stableford Competition. The competition is sponsored by Coca Cola Amatil (Fiji) Ltd. There are great prizes to be won. Prizes are to be awarded for 1st to 5th places with NTPs on all Par 3s. Registration is at 11am. Tee-off from 12 noon. Prize giving at 5.30pm. Finger food will be served during prize giving. All men are welcome to play. QVSOB

THE annual QVSOB Druavesi Golf tournament will be held at the Fiji Golf Club on December 30. Registration starts 9am and shotgun at 10m. Fee is $20 per player.

NETBALL

Burebasaga

THE tournament will be held at the school grounds on December 1. Open grade will accommodate first 12 teams with $100 registration fee and $500 prizemoney to the winner and $150 to the runner-up team. Mixed netball grade will allow eight teams with $80 registration fee. The winner gets $300 in this grade while the runner-up will settle for $150. Registration closes on the 28th November, 2012. AOG Fellowship 7s

THE AOG Men's Fellowship 7s tournament will be played at the Koronivia FNU grounds on December 7-8. Thirty-two teams will be accommodated. Registration fees $100. A volleyball and netball tournament will also be hosted and only 20 teams will be accommodated for both sports at $40 per team. Contact Rev Rayawa 7774507 or Pastor Paula 9880275.

Airport

THE Airport Rugby Sevens tournament will be held at Nayally grounds on December 1. Registration fee is $150 and the winner gets $1000. Runner-up wins $500 while losing semi-finalists get $250 each. Only the first 16 teams will be accommodated. Contact Jeff 9702216 or Simi 9407574.

Bure Ambassador 7s

THE tournament will be held on December 22 at Suva Grammar School grounds. Entry fees is $250, only 40 teams will be accepted. Cup winner gets $2500 prizemoney and Lei Namolibale Trophy, runner-up $1000 and losing semi-finalists gets $250 each. Plate winner gets $500, runner-up $400 and semi-finalists $200 each. Bowl winner gets $400, runner-up $300 and semi-finalists $150 each. Shield winner will get $300 while the runner-up $200. Registration closes on December 20 and deposit amount of $100 is acceptable. THE Burebasaga District School 7s will be held at the school grounds in Rewa on November 30 to December 1. Registration fee is $160 per team. First 32 teams will be accommodated. Closing date for registration is November 26. Cup winner gets $1,200 while the runner-up pockets $500. Other prizes will be at stake as well. THE following under-18 players are requested to attend a HPU camp at the HPU Gym on December 1 from 9am. These players will be part of a HPU camp for the Fiji Under-18 who will play in a tournament in September 2012, against New Zealand, South Africa and Australia. THE Rewa Football Association 2012 outgoing council meeting will be held at the Saraswati Primary School in Manoca on December 3 from 7pm. The 2013 annual general meeting (AGM) will be held on Monday December 10 from 7pm at the Saraswati Primary School in Manoca, Nausori. THE Lami Carnival Volleyball tournament (men's and women) will be held from December 5-8. Games will be held from 3pm to 7pm daily.
