CHRISTMAS came early for 228 students of Sabeto Muslim Primary School in Nadi when stationery for next year was distributed at the annual prize-giving ceremony.

Headteacher Jahid Alam said staff, parents and the community rallied and came up with the giveaway to assist the children.

"We are awarding all 228 children of our school with certificates and whole stationery packs for next year's classes," he said.

"With the co-operation of staff members and management, our plan was successful and we managed to get various donor agencies for this awards function."

The stationery packs include 10 exercise books, maths 4c, drawing book, ruler, pens, pencils, sharpeners, rubbers, colour pencils, mathematical sets, lecture pads and cellophane.
