Mere Naleba
Tuesday, November 27, 2012

A PRE-TRIAL date has been set for the case against former Ministry of Industry and Trade employee Amita Devi Singh.

Ms Singh appeared before Magistrate Yohan Liyanage on charges of theft and obtaining financial advantage and another of making false or misleading documents.

Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption officer Kitione Waqavonovono stated in court yesterday that FICAC would not withdraw proceedings against the accused and that she was informed of this through her lawyer.

The case has been adjourned to January 9 for a pre-trial conference.
