Six counts for officer

A POLICE officer appeared in the Nadi Magistrates Court yesterday charged with dangerous driving.

The officer was allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol when he was arrested on Wednesday night along Malolo Transmitter Rd before he was detained at the Nadi Police Station.

He was charged with four counts of dangerous driving, one count of disobedience of lawful order, and one count of failing to undergo breathalyser test, driving motor vehicle with expired drivers licence and contravening conditions of the third party policy.

According to police, the man will also face internal disciplinary action for the offence.
