THE Fiji Meteorological Office yesterday cancelled its strong wind warning previously in force over land areas in Southern Lau.

A tropical depression that was causing heavy showers in the country earlier this week has moved further south east and away from the group.

The weather office said associated troughs over the eastern parts of the group cleared late last night.

The weather office also stated that a southerly wind flow would prevail over the group from last night.

For tomorrow, the weather office has forecasted brief morning and afternoon showers with cooler evenings.
