Making the right tertiary choice

Sands Partnerships (Fiji)
Friday, November 23, 2012

IT'S a widely held view that many school leavers ask the question at the end of their secondary school journey, "where do I go from here". And for many its a choice between work or pathwaying into tertiary level studies. For those deciding the path of tertiary education will most likely find themselves at the end of it, in a more prepared position to enter into the workforce than if they had entered straight from high school.

But even before they enter a tertiary institution there still remains many unanswered questions—like, how do I apply for study; where's the most suitable university or technical institute, what can I study and which tertiary institutions offers it and how much will it cost me - these are just some of the many questions young prospective tertiary students commonly ask. And in most cases the answers are not always readily available or accessible to them.

SandS Partnerships (FIJI) a locally owned tertiary education placement company and official representatives for some of the universities in New Zealand, Australia and Malaysia; offers services that assist prospective tertiary students with academic counseling and placement, so that you know what you can study and where you can study it; advice on tertiary education fees and accommodation options, so you know how much it will cost you and where you can stay while studying; pre-departure orientation, so you know what to expect and how to prepare for a new living and learning environment; and student visa advice and application assistance.

Making the right choices at the beginning of your journey is the difference between potential success and imminent failure. It's a small investment to take the time to talk to someone who knows what it takes to be prepared to begin the journey.

SandS Partnerships (FIJI) also provides academic placement services for New Zealand secondary schools and Institutes of Technology. Located in Suva, SandS Partnerships (FIJI) is on email sandspartnershipsfiji@gmail.com
