Zero duty incentive extends

By ROPATE VALEMEI
Thursday, November 22, 2012

Update: 5:50PM GOVERNMENT will continue the zero-rated duty incentive for the importation of all plant machinery and equipment for manufacturing in Fiji.

Government will again provide the Textile Clothing and Footwear Council a marketing grant of $300,000, over three years, to develop new markets for Fijian-made products and grow employment, said Commodore Bainimarama.

The government will also continue to give tariff support to local manufacturers to help them to grow.

It would also retain the current 40 per cent export income deduction.
