Update: 5:24PM LEGAL aid offices in Fiji have been allocated $2million for operational costs in 2013.

On top of this, $4.5million is being provided for the extension of the High Court in Lautoka as well as another $1million for refurbishment purposes of the Suva Court Complex and for other courts throughout Fiji.

$300,000 has been put aside solely for equipment and sound systems in the courts to make them more efficient.

Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama announced this while delivering the 2013 Budget yesterday.
