Women get $550,000

Update: 5:00PM GOVERNMENT has set aside $550,000 for the Ministry of Women for the implementation of a womens plan of action.

A memorandum of understanding has also been established between Fiji and the Barefoot College of India to assist in educational opportunities for women in Fiji.

The announcement was made by Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama in his 2013 Budget address this afternoon.
