TUI Macuata Ratu Aisea Katonivere commended The Fiji Times reporters in the North for their efforts in keeping the public informed with balanced and accurate news.

He had a brief meeting with The Fiji Times publisher Hank Arts at the Macuata Holdings Limited building in Labasa yesterday.

"The coverage of news here is good and it is clearly revealed on how readers eagerly wait for the newspaper every day only to refer to page four which is covered with North stories," Ratu Aisea said.

He said north news coverage not only focused on government development projects but the plight of rural dwellers.

Mr Arts said such positive feedback on local news were pleasing.
