FORMER national rep Amitesh Chandra made it back-to-back titles after winning the 2012 Nadi Airport Golf Club A grade championship yesterday.

Amitesh, the National Golf Association of Fiji secretary, defeated veteran Ram Khelawan four up and three in the 36 holes final playoffs at the Newtown course. This was Amitesh's fourth title club championship victory. He moves to second on the all-time winners list in the A grade behind Mohan Singh who has eight titles to his name.

Mohan is the father of former golf number one Vijay Singh.

Amitesh said Khelawan gave him a tough time. "I only managed to pull through in the final round," Amitesh said.

In the B grade final Pundit Vishnu Secondary School teacher Nilesh Chand beat NAGC captain Salesh Singh nine up and eight. Shiva Ragan registered an easy win in the C grade final. He downed Avikash Chand 12 up and 11.
