Prosperity conference

SHERATON Fiji Resort in Denarau will play host to a conference early next year that will attempt to make the Pacific community more prosperous.

The World Hindu Economic Forum's (WHEF) Pacific Regional Forum titled 'Making the South Pacific community prosperous,' is scheduled for February 16, 2013.

According to a statement released by WHEF Pacific, the event "promotes activities to make society prosperous, primarily through the generation and sharing of material wealth".

This follows a successful WHEF conference which was held in Hong Kong on June 30 and July 1 this year.

The WHEF Pacific sees the conference as being very relevant to Fiji because the Hindu business community contributes to trade, commerce and industry in the South Pacific, particularly Fiji, New Zealand and Australia.

The release stressed the importance of bringing together wealth from different sectors.
