Safe Diwali

Luke Rawalai
Thursday, November 15, 2012

POLICE officers have lauded the integration from communities in the Northern Division in maintaining a safe and crime-free Diwali this year.

Acting divisional police commander northern Superintendent of Police Fulori Rainibogi said the north had no reports of mishaps during the celebrations.

SP Rainibogi said police officers beefed up their patrol during the weekend and there were no reports as people went about celebrating in the spirit of the festive season.

"This is a sign of the community's partnership with the police in ensuring that such festivities are celebrated in the rightful spirit free from harm's way," she said.
