Singh makes a bang with Diwali Cup win

VETERAN Rajen Singh took out the Diwali Cup at the Ba Golf Club. Singh carded 74 to win the overall gross title during the Bombay Trading Limited-sponsored 18 holes stroke event.

Asish Chand won the overall nett. He scored 74.

Vikash Chand won the A grade nett. Jyoti Lal the BGC committee member won the B grade nett while Dinesh Maharaj won the C grade nett.

N Delana and Abdul Khan won the nearest to the pin prizes.

Lal said the members of the BGC would be participating in the Lautoka Open Championship and Fiji Amateur Foursomes Championship next weekend.

Meanwhile, Johnny Krishna won the New Marine & Auto Elecetrical Services-sponsored Diwali Open Cup 18 holes stroke event at the Lautoka Club yesterday. Krishna carded a brilliant even par 69 to win the overall title. Pravin Prasad of Nadi won the overall nett.
