THE Rifle Range FC from Lautoka will be banking on the three district reps to lead the charge during the Kriz Signs National Club Championship in Ba this weekend.

Rifle Range qualified for the NCC finals after finishing as the best runner-up during the NCC western zone playoffs at Prince Charles Park in Nadi on Sunday.

The three district reps in the team include Deepak Raj, Shivneel Kumar and Ravneel Narayan.

Rifle Range coach Deo Raj said the team had qualified for the NCC finals for the first time.

He said there was a lot of jubilation in the Rifle Range community after the team's success.

"The club started back in 1988," Deo said.

"To reach the NCC finals is a major accomplishment. The team does not have many renowned players. However, we have committed players who give their 100 per cent in every game.

"The boys had a good outing during the NCC zonal playoffs. Certainly it was a big event for them. Now we are in the finals. The celebrations have been cut short.

"We want to do well in the finals. It will be tough as the cream of the clubs from Viti Levu will be participating."

Rifle Range is the lone club from the Sugar City that will feature in the NCC finals at Govind Park.
