Suva, Ba clubs top bet

Suva and Ba soccer clubs are top bets in their respective pools ahead of the 2012 Kriz Signs National Club Championship (NCC) which will be held this weekend at Govind Park in Ba.

GM Ba FC and 4R Electrical FC from Ba which finished unbeaten in the western zone club playoff over the weekend, head Pool A with Rifle Range FC of Lautoka and Agriculture FC from Tailevu Naitasiri.

In Pool B, Samabula FC laced with Suva reps in Sanni Issa, Leone Damudamu, Joseph Mishra, Sedrick Dutt, Nitan Kumar and Joshua Wilson is the top bet. But the side will face a tough challenge from Wailoku after going down to them 3-2 in the Suva Football Association club competition final.

Wailoku have the services of Solomon Islanders who are students at the University of the South Pacific (USP) and is led by Suva reps Ralph Sherwin and Luke Ha'aterea.

Samabula and Wailoku are joined by League FC from Navua and Shore Buses FC from Lami in Pool B.

League FC has players like Inoke O'Connor, Seveci Rokotakala, Sheik Moshin, Siga Ali and former Navua and Fiji under-23 rep Ismail Shaheem

The NCC starts this Friday and will end on Sunday.

League FC (Navua), Shore Blues FC (Lami), Wailoku FC (Suva), Samabula FC (Suva)
