Mains end disruptions

WATER woes for households in Malakula, Nadi will be a thing of the past following the installation of 200 millimetre water mains by the Water Authority of Fiji.

The area has a history of water problems. Water supply was constantly disrupted over the years by the increasing population in the Nadi area and the Vaturu Dam became less compatible to cater for the large number of households.

Following an outreach program to some Nadi villages and settlements, WAF began works to set up water mains to provide relief to the affected residents. WAF, in a release said the mains would supply water to households in the area.
