Kirstie Alley relied on Scientology to kick cocaine habit

Actress Kirstie Alley turned to Scientology to help her kick a cocaine habit that was spiralling out of control.

The former Cheers star dabbled with the drug during her youth, but vowed to give it up for good after continuously fearing for her health each time she got high.

During an interview with US news show Entertainment Tonight, she says, "I thought I was going to overdose almost every time". "I would snort the coke, then I would sit there, I'd take my pulse (thinking), 'I'm dying, I'm dying, I'm dying.'"

The 61-year-old later enrolled in a Church of Scientology-affiliated treatment program and read the organisation's self-help guidebook Dianetics — and Alley insists the work and the religion's principles saved her life.

She adds, "somehow I got through (the book), and I thought either (Scientology) is the world's biggest scam or... this is how I am going to get rid of this hideous compulsion".

Victoria forgets her son!

Victoria Beckham may be married to one of the hottest men on earth and the mother of four adorable children, but as she tells Vanity Fair, she is not perfect. According to Beckham, she got up one morning and got herself, 9-month-old Harper, and her three boys, Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, 9, and Cruz, 7 ready for the day. As she rushed out the door to get Brooklyn to school, she loaded Harper in her car seat, plugged in her iPod and started the drive. She says a few minutes later she realised it was too quiet and looked to the passenger seat to notice Brooklyn wasn't in the car. When she arrived back home her husband David and the three boys were all standing there with huge smiles on their faces. She says she felt so stupid by forgetting the child they were actually taking to school.

Jennifer Lopez

The German maid is LYING

... I didn't get her fired!

Jennifer Lopez is calling BS on a German maid who claims the singer got her fired for asking for an autograph ... insisting the cleaning lady is trashing her for no reason.

J Lo is pissed over a story that originated in a German tabloid ... in which the maid says she tried to approach the singer's assistants while they were staying at a fancy German hotel last month and asked for Jennifer's signature. The maid claims the singer complained to management and she was fired the next day.

Now, Lopez is lashing back ... saying, "C'mon thought you knew me better than this". "Would never get anyone fired over an autograph."

Sources close to Lopez tell TMZ ... there was an incident involving a maid, but it didn't involve an autograph. We're told the maid had "barged" into the room unannounced ... and the singer's security immediately gave her the boot out of concern for the singer's safety.

We're told hotel management has since assured Lopez's people that no one was fired — but the maid company the hotel uses has relocated the maid in question to a different property.

A rep for J Lo tells TMZ ... "Jennifer always goes out of her way to meet and greet fans as evidenced by her recent tweet to meet engagements backstage, as well as stopping to sign autographs and say hello to hotel staff".
