FORMER Fiji sevens rep Pio Tuwai and his younger brother Josua Tuwai will feature for Serevi Selects at the lucrative three-day Coral Coast Sevens that starts next Thursday at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.

A 12-member squad, including two of the game's finest players Waisale Serevi and Ben Gollings, was released yesterday by team manager Pravin Chand.

"Unfortunately we could not get Setefano Cakau and Maleli Bula because of national team commitment," said Chand, the managing director of Fairtrade Auto and Serevi Rugby Nation's Pacific manager.

Chand said Serevi jets into the country on Sunday morning with his good mate and former England skipper Gollings due in next Thursday.

Serevi Selects also has rugby league sensation Jone Marawa of the Sabeto Roosters, South Africa-born USA sevens ace Matt Hawkins and former Fiji sevens flyer Osea Kolinisau.

"David Batiratu and Nasoni Roko could also join the side but that will be decided once Serevi arrives," Chand said.

The side will feature four former national team captains in Serevi, Emosi Vucago, Gollings and USA's Hawkins.

Fellow American Matt Truvell, William Rasileka, Filimoni Botitu and Isimeli Daveta make up the squad.

The Tuwai brothers are a surprise addition as many expected them to play for the Westfield Babas from Nadi but it seems like the temptation of playing alongside two of the best players to have graced the abbreviated code — Serevi and Gollings — swayed their decision.

Vucago, who featured for the Mala Young Boys in the Great Eight tournament, looked a little rusty and will have to do better than what he did in the elimination meet. Serevi Selects are in Pool F with Police (Suva), New Zealand-based Lomaiviti Barbarians and the Outrigger on the Lagoon.
