TOURISM industry stakeholders have given Tourism Fiji's new global marketing campaign slogan 'Fiji Where happiness finds you' a big thumbs up.
Fiji Hotels and Tourism Association president Dixon Seeto said while the new slogan gave a true representation of Fiji as a holiday destination, the process involved and the campaign as a whole was reason to celebrate.
"I personally have a warm feeling towards the new slogan, Fiji is about happiness, obviously that's what the industry is about," he said.
"But, apart from the physical logo, I think all the rest of the stuff that comes with it, the collateral, the website and how the new brand interfaces with the industry is very important.
"The logo is very innovative and captures everything that Fiji is all about in one sentence which is remarkable and when you look at it as a total package, the logo, the marketing campaign and the public relations strategies, tourism in Fiji has an exciting future."
Mr Seeto said a significant step for the tourism industry was the fact that all the stakeholders were involved in Tourism Fiji's new global marketing exercise.
"The fact that they had consultations within the industry over two days was very important.
"Stakeholders were keen to participate and this was evident in the types of questions asked during the breakout sessions.
"I'm very confidently optimistic that the new slogan will take our industry to greater heights," he said.
