PITA Tevita upset national rep Nitesh Chand during the Laser Electrical sponsored Diwali Cup snooker tournament at the South Seas Club in Lautoka on Sunday.
Tevita defeated Chand 2-1 in an entertaining final.
In the semi-finals Tevita beat Philip Gock 2-0 while Chand downed Vinesh Prasad 2-1.
In the quarterfinals Gock beat Rakesh, Tevita defeated Navniel Maharaj, Chand beat RM Pillay while Prasad defeated Ajesh Chand.
A tournament sponsored by the South Seas Restaurant will held at the club next month.
