LAUTOKA mid field utility Sota Yamazaki will fly from Japan to New Zealand to represent the side in the 2012 Pacific Cup which will be held in Auckland later this month.
Yamazaki a student at the Free Bird Institute returned Tokyo earlier this week after completing his education.
He featured for the Blues FC during the final round of the Lautoka Football Association local league competition last Sunday.
LFA president Shalendra Prasad said the side had started their preparations for the tournament this week.
Prasad said they would be taking a few youngsters.
He said four guest players would be joining the side in New Zealand.
"We are in the process of finalising our squad," Prasad said. "Sota has returned to Japan but has assured to join us in New Zealand. There is a lot of hype about the tournament. We are in a tough pool together with Ba and Sydney."
Central College student Leisari Qalica is one of the youngsters who is likely to travel with the Blues.
Lautoka is pooled with Ba, Sydney, New Zealand Labasa and New Zealand Nadi. The other pool includes Labasa, Nadi, Waitakere, New Zealand Navua and New Zealand Nasinu.
The tournament will be held at the Mount Smart Stadium from November 21-25.
It will be held under the New Zealand Fiji Football Incorporated banner.
The winner will receive $14,300 while the runner up will get $4,300.
