Funds to assist disadvantaged children

AIR Pacific handed over a cheque of $38,000 to the Foundation for Rural Integrated Enterprise and Development (FRIEND) on Monday. The funds from the airline's Wings of Hope program will be used to assist to improve the education and health of disadvantaged schoolchildren said FRIEND founder Sashi Kiran. Air Pacific's CEO David Pflieger said $100,000 had already been given earlier this year and Air Pacific was looking at a continued commitment to the NGO going forward.
