A total of 32 players will fight it out for the Diwali Mela Snooker Championship which starts at the Lautoka Club tomorrow.
The tournament has attracted the top players from the Western Division.
North West Billiards and Snooker Association champion Mahendra Prasad will lead the charge for the main title with former Fiji number three Nitesh Chand.
Tournament co-ordinator Vineel Nand said the number of players had dropped from the initial figures as there were similar events organised in the southern division on Sunday. He said this wasn't a setback.
