WHEREVER you are, remember you are an ambassador of Fiji.
This is the message from Royal Air Force Flight Lieutenant Toga Matamoana Loco who has been awarded a three-year scholarship to study at the University of Leicester, one of the UK's leading universities .
The 34-year-old from Saioko Village, Ra was one of only six recipients for the Master of Science scholarship this year to study Performance Management and Workplace Learning.
"People may not know much about Fiji but their perception will be shaped by how you behave and carry yourself," he said.
"Never give up, work hard and be humble."
The Training Specialisation in the RAF provides up to six awards every year for training officers to study the discipline at the university.
Mr Loco said he applied earlier this year and was humbled when he found out he had been awarded the scholarship last month.
He is the youngest son of teachers Kulimasi and Taufa Fa Loco. His wife, Sandra, is from South Africa and they have a daughter, Taufa.
