THE Fiji Sugar Corporation is not anticipating a huge allocation from government in the 2013 national budget but has requested for continued support.
FSC chief executive officer Abdul Khan said what they needed most was government's support in order to bring quality changes.
Mr Khan said FSC was allocated $40.9million this year and about $31million had been used so far.
"The allocation (for this year) was adequate," Mr Khan said.
"About $31million was used in terms of working capital and the retirement of the high interest debts," he said.
Mr Khan said year 2012 had been a quality year for FSC where most positive changes were brought about.
However, for 2013, he said FSC would redefine the industry.
"Sugar is a big industry for Fiji in terms of economics, business and employment," Mr Khan said.
The 2013 national budget announcement will be delivered on November 24.
