A WOMAN true to her calling is how the people of Cakaunitabua described the late Tui Bua, Adi Ana Lalanabaravi, who died after an illness on Sunday morning.
Adi Ana, 75, was called to rest on her birthday at the Nabouwalu Hospital.
Her nephew and assistant roko tui Bua Ramakutu Nagagavoka, said the late Tui Bua contributed a lot to development in the province and her death was a huge loss to them.
"She was a woman who fought for the truth and she always disciplined people on the spot if they were wrong," he said.
"Adi Ana had sound leadership with a heart for her people, a humble woman and always friendly to everyone. We will miss her so much. No one can ever replace her. She was a good role model and a mother-figure to us all."
Mr Nagagavoka added the late Tui Bua always supported government's development projects in the province.
Tui Wainunu Ratu Orisi Baleitavea said the chiefs would meet today to discuss the contribution of the vanua and other funeral arrangements for the late Adi Ana.
He said she led the people of Bua with great wisdom and good guidance during her eight-year leadership.
"The vanua of Bua will surely miss her and it's a mourning period for us."
Adi Ana is survived by her three children and eight grandchildren. She will be laid to rest at Bua Lomanikoro on Friday.
