Juveniles in court

FOUR juveniles charged with the theft of $20,000 from a businessman appeared in a closed court session in Suva yesterday.

The juveniles allegedly stole the money from the businessman's vehicle which was parked at his workplace in Lami.

Parents, family members and friends of the four accused aged 12, 14, 15 and 17 years gathered outside the courtroom yesterday.

The four, who are facing one count each of theft, appeared before Magistrate Sufia Hamza.

The 12 and 14-year-olds are alleged to have taken the money from the businessman's vehicle and were later accompanied by the 15 and 17-year-olds to Suva.
