THE Wilderness MC Shooters team isconfident of qualifying for the final of the Vodafone Suva/Lami Darts League next week.
Today, the Vili Umu-captained Suva side faces a tough challenge from Combine from Lami in the semi-finals at Defence Club.
Wilderness were the losing finalist last year and this season they are optimistic of going one better.
"We are looking forward to it," vice-captain Surya Prasad said.
The team members are Mahen Prasad, Surya, Vili Sikivou, Yogesh Prasad, Umu, Atelini Kakaivalu and Vasemaca Vodo.
The team will be banking on the father and son combination of Surya and Mahen and wife and husband team of Vili and Atelini to spark their top four campaign.
"Combine is a very good team with some good darts players.
"We also have a good bunch of players and with our captain Vili Umu, I believe we can defy the odds tomorrow (today)," Surya said.
Team Finance Pacific (TFP) and Gold Darts will play in the other semi-final.
The plate and cup semifinals start at 7.30pm.
