LAUTOKA soccer striker Mohammed Taslim scored a brace of goals to help his Press soccer club to a 5-0 win over United Sangam in the Lautoka Football Association local league competition yesterday.

The former Natabua High School student has become a regular face in the Blues side.

Another districit rep, Nigerian import Kenneth Onyema scored two late goals to help his Blues FC side salvage a draw against Service Sports in the round 10 competition.

LFA secretary Reginald Goundar said only two more rounds of competition remain.

"Press currently leads the points table and FC Education, Rifle Range, Vitogo Youth and Blues FC are the other title contenders," he said.

Once the league is completed, Lautoka will be able to nominate their two teams for the Kriz Signs National Club Championship.

LFA president Shalend Prasad said last year the United Sangam and Tigers FC did not take part in the NCC because of financial constraints.
