NADI-based Westfield Babaas returns home this week $A20,000 ($F37,000) richer after winning the 2012 Central Coast 7s Wyong League club ground in Central Coast, Australian on Saturday.
The Pio Tuwai-captained side was in top form in the one-day tournament and finished off in fine form beating defending champion Sunnybank 41-17 in the final.
In the final, the Babaas used their speed and flair to entertain the crowd as they scored some long range tries.
Tries to Tuwai, his younger brother Filipo Nakosi, Setefano Rasekai and Asaeli Vula saw the Babaas take a 24-0 lead midway into the first half.
Sunnybank managed to score two tries to bring the scores to 24-12 at the break.
But just like the powerful start in the final, the Babaas again used their speed to score tries to Nakosi, Waisea Nacuga and Samu Saqiwa to seal the match.
Sunnybank managed a consolation try but it was not enough as the Westfield Babaas secured the 2012 Central Coast title winning 41-17.
Tournament favourites Wardens with Digicel 7s players Lepani Botia, Joji Ragamate, Ilai Tinai and Alipate Ratini were stopped in the semi-finals by Sunnybank 19-17.
Surprise of the tournament Nabua which also made the semi-finals was defeated by the Babaas 19-10.
Babaas Maika Tuinasavusavu was voted the tournament's most valuable player (MVP.
In the women's competition Sunnybank defeated Parramatta in the final 26-15 with Fijians Patricia Raikadroka and Unaisi Biau scoring for the champions.
