THE Ba Provincial Council has presented its development plans for 2013 to government.
In a two-day meeting with the Commissioner Western Commander Joeli Cawaki, the council revealed plans and upcoming projects that it would be carrying out next year. Council chairman Ratu Meli Saukuru said most of the development works revolved around the improvement of infrastructure within villages in the province.
"We have a couple of things lined up that we would like to carry out and we understand that it will be possible with government's help," said Ratu Meli.
"Some of the projects include income-generating initiatives. This is something that we will always encourage because not only does it create employment for the individual and his or her village but it also gives them much-needed income," he said.
