RED Rock walked away $2000 richer after taking out the Mount Saint Mary's 7s tournament in Nadi yesterday.
The Red Rock team downed Naviti Resort 33-21 in an exciting final.
Tournament co-ordinator Dominiko Banidawa said a big crowd gathered to witness the final as they had free entry.
He said they hoped to stage a bigger event next year.
"The fans enjoyed the rugby on display," Banidawa said.
"Both teams in the main final displayed disciplined rugby. Experience on Red Rock's side gave them the edge. We started the 7s tournament last year as part of the Mount Saint Mary's Parish fundraising.
"We had 16 teams last year. This year the tournament has grown to 24 teams.
"We will make it bigger next year increasing the number of teams hoping to attract more of the top clubs from around the country."
Naviti Resort won $1000.
In the main semi-finals Red Rock beat Waidigi Babas 33-0 while Naviti Resort defeated New Dawn Duiyasana 7-0.
Sacred Heart Youth won the Plate title beating Ravuka Sharks 24-22.
