THE Lautoka Volleyball Association recorded a slow start to the opening round of the new season yesterday.
A few clubs failed to get to the multipurpose courts on time delaying the competition.
LVA president Timoci Gukisuva said despite the slow start, things looked bright for the association.
He revealed that four new clubs had approached to join the association.
"Hopefully we will get these clubs registered early next week," Gukisuva said.
"We witnessed some interesting matches in the first round. The men played five setters. Registration for the new season is open. We are inviting the business house teams to join us."
