FIJI'S Rahika Prasad missed out on the semi-finals of the World Bowls Singles Champion of Champions after going down in the playoffs in Cyprus on Friday night.
Earlier, Prasad staged a fight back in her three remaining matches to secure a spot in the top three.
Going into the final rounds Prasad was ranked fifth. However, the Suva bowler won three consecutive matches. She beat opponents from Scotland, Brazil and Singapore.
This lifted her to second spot in the women's section two and ensured her a spot in the playoffs for the semi-finals.
In the playoffs, Prasad faced Jane Rigby of Zimbabwe. She lost 8-9, 4-9.
In the men's section two, Abdul Kalim finished in seventh position.
He recorded five wins from seven matches.
This was not enough for Kalim to notch a spot for the playoffs for the semi-finals.
