Over $3000 was raised this week by the staff of Asco Motors in Suva, followed by a cheque presentation to the Walk On Walk Strong (WOWS) Foundation.

Received by the Founder and spokesperson of WOWS, Sina Kami; Asco Motors said the main reason for this was that they all had members of their family and friends who were affected by cancer.

Corporate social responsibility team leader, Ronald Kumar, spoke very proudly of the Asco Motors team and the effort that was put into the fundraiser. "Toyota's success is mainly founded on the respect for the people and community we operate in and in support of the WOWS movement.

"The committee set out to promote and encourage staff members and their families to participate and raise fund for this worthy cause," he said.

The money was raised a couple months ago, on September 22nd via an organised walk-a-thon, which raised the total of $3223. The morning tea, which took place on Wednesday this week, saw Mrs Kami move the audience with her personal stories of strength, compassion persistence.

Asco Motors CEO Abdul Hafiz said the "Asco Motors family is saddened by the fact that most of our kids suffering from cancer lack financial assistance".
