A GROUP of politicians and chiefs from three provinces in Fiji presented a petition to the Office of the President early this month expressing concern on the work of the Constitution Commission.
The petition titled Proposed constitutional process and Fiji's return to democratic rule was signed by the Roko Tui Dreketi Ro Teimumu Kepa, Turaga na Ka Levu Ratu Sakiusa Makutu, Tui Cakau Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, Soqosoqo Duavata ni Lewenivanua Party president Solomoni Naivalu, Fiji Labour Party leader Mahendra Chaudhry, United Peoples Party president Mick Beddoes, National Federation Party president Raman Pratap Singh and Fiji Islands Council of Trade Unions general secretary Attar Singh.
The group raised concerns on other issues as well in the 12-page petition made available to The Fiji Times.
