SOME overseas-based players are expected to attend the final Fiji under-17 trials in December this year.
Fiji soccer coaching director Juan Carlos Buzzetti said two players each from Australia and New Zealand were confirmed to attend the trials with more request expected in the remaining days leading to the final selection.
Buzzetti said the former Fiji nationals had shown their commitment of representing the country of their birth and they were willing to give them chance along with the local boys.
The 75 local players from the 350 that attended the earlier trials will march into a short camp from tomorrow to Sunday at the National Football Academy in Ba.
Buzzetti said the two-day camp would be the team's second trial and to reduce the squad to 30 players.
"The players will be in camp by Friday afternoon and we will have a meeting on the same night to discuss things that will be done in the remaining days," the Uruguayan mentor said.
"On Saturday we will have the trials to reduce the team number to 30 before the final trials in December where players from Australia and New Zealand are also coming."
