WELLINGTON - Experienced Silver Ferns shooter Jodi Brown's unique perspective of last Sunday's quad series netball Test against Australia in Sydney started out high, but finished at rock bottom.
As she watched the Diamonds demolish New Zealand 68-48 from her home in Dunedin, Brown's spirits sank correspondingly low.
"I felt myself sliding down the couch more and more as the game went on," she said in Wellington yesterday.
"It was just so uncharacteristic of our play — it just got worse and worse and worse."
Brown, 31, has made a composed comeback to international netball five years after she last represented New Zealand.
She was part of the Silver Ferns' 2-1 Constellation Cup series win over the Diamonds last month, but opted to sit out the week-long Australian leg of the quad series between Australia, England and South Africa.
