THE Delta Rugby League club is the latest inclusion to the Fiji National Rugby League club competition for the new season.
Several clubs joined the FNRL competition this season and already the Nausori-based club has shown interest to be affiliated with FNRL.
Formerly known as the Nausori Bulldogs, the club's new name is yet to be confirmed. FNRL development officer Sale Tubuna confirmed the news to Times Sport.
"Yes, we have been talking with officials from the club who are eager to join the competition next year. They are not new to rugby league as we usually have the Nausori Bulldogs competing before," Tubuna said. Club official Ovalase Toduadua has urged interested players who wish to be part of the club to attend their off-season training in Nausori. "We will soon be going to Nausori to teach them more about rugby league. It is good news to us that more clubs are interested in joining the competition," Tubuna said.
He said Lomainasau from Rewa had also confirmed their participation next season. Tubuna said Lomainasau had already received a new set of jersey for the new season.
"Everything have been finalised for these two clubs, they will be competing next year."
Meanwhile, FNRL is yet to confirm the number of registered clubs this season.
