WELLINGTON - Silver Ferns coach Waimarama Taumaunu says there's a grim determination in her squad to make sure there's no repeat of Sunday's "perfect storm" against Australia on the New Zealand leg of netball's quad series.
Destroyed 68-48 by the Australians, the New Zealanders hit the practice court hard yesterday as they look to learn from the lessons of a woeful performance in Sydney three days ago.
"There's a recognition that it's pretty rare we all decide to play badly together, and there's a grim determination that it won't happen again," Taumaunu said.
First and foremost, she said, that meant focusing on improvements at an individual level.
